Welcome to WCCA
Extended Care
WCCA
Club:
We
understand that many families have a need for childcare beyond the regular
school hours. At WCCA, we strive to create a loving, safe, nurturing
atmosphere for our students, not only during regular hours, but before and
after school as well.
The
WCCA Club provides Christian adult supervision from 7 to 8 a.m. for a
reasonable hourly fee, billed in 15-minute increments or portions thereof.
From 8 to 8:30 a.m., there is adult supervision, but no charge for
childcare.
After
school, there is no charge until 3:15 p.m. Children not picked up by 3:15
are automatically signed into extended care (regardless of age). You do
not need to call the office to arrange for extended care. After 3:15 p.m.,
children must be signed out by a parent.
The
after school program closes at 6 p.m. There will be a penalty fee assessed
for every 15 minutes, or portion thereof, after the 6:00 deadline.
Please
be aware that on days when there is no school, there will be no extended
care available. However, WCCA Club is available on half days from
12:15 to 6:00 p.m. Your child will need to bring a lunch on half days.
If
you do not plan to use extended care often, it would still be a good idea
to explain to your child what would happen if you were to be late.
WCCA
Club-Summer Program:
WCCA's
summer program for kindergarten through fifth grade, is the answer to
prayer for many working parents. Each summer, the program is designed
around a fun theme to make the experience appealing to all involved. Off
campus activities include field trips to such places as Golden Skate, the
Larkey park pool, The Oakland Zoo, and local parks. On campus fun features
crafts, cooking, and games. The program begins the week after school
adjourns and runs until one week before school begins. Hours may vary each
year, so interested parents should contact the school office for current
information. Drop-ins may be accepted subject to enrollment openings and
the approval of the coordinator.

Academic
Summer Program:
As
part of our service to our school community, WCCA offers a five week
academic summer school program individually designed to help students
strengthen their reading, writing, and arithmetic skills. Students
entering first through sixth grades are welcome to enroll for enrichment
or remediation.
Children
already enrolled in the WCCA Club Summer Program may participate on a
"pull-out" basis, with a one time discount offered to reduce the
fees paid for the summer program.
Hours
and rates may vary each year, so interested parents should contact the
school office for current information.
