Representing third through fifth graders, our Intermediate Department
strives to develop an understanding of God as Creator
while stressing each student's unique potential and
worth as God's child. There is a strong emphasis
on biblical character development with practical
lessons to apply these character traits to the
student's daily walk. Prayer, Bible study,
fellowship, and chapel services are integrated into our
weekly curriculum. Since this is an
important age for developing and establishing
friendships, we have designed special activities like
our 4th grade and kindergarten "Buddy"
program.
Academically, students are prepared and challenged in
all disciplines. Reading comprehension, writing
clarity, as well as listening and thinking skills are
all stressed. Building upon the basics, math
facts are mastered. Responsibility and
accountability are developed through assignment
organizers and homework completion and students learn
how to utilize basic learning resources effectively.
Through all this, we are pleased to witness our
students discovering a true zeal for learning!
