WCCA Tours

Still looking for a great school for this year?  Look no further!  Come check out our Preschool through 8th grade.  We would love to give you a tour and share with you what WCCA has to offer.

Silent Auction Raises Technology Funds

It must mean a lot to WCCA parents and staff to employ the latest in classroom technology, because, despite the challenging economic times, WCCA’s gym and seats were filled during Saturday night’s auction—and over $22,000 in technology funding was raised! Numbers were flying up all over the room, as Principal Rohleder, taking on the role of auctioneer, sold an autographed Joe Montana jersey, a weekend get-away in San Francisco, and a Jazz Fest package to New Orleans. The excitement only grew as he auctioned off several chocolaty desserts.

Silent auction bidders continually checked to make sure they had the latest bid while a catered dinner was served by several WCCA alumni and other local high school students. Our passionate and professional auction committee truly put together a fantastic, fun-filled evening (thank you!) and the only thing more rewarding than winning the final bid was knowing that WCCA students will now be benefiting from thrilling new technology.

WCCA families collected and donated food and clothing to the Bay Area Rescue Mission, and they also collected shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child.

Mr. Rohleder, WCCA's new principal

After a week on campus, Mr. Rohleder is excited about the great staff and wonderful kids at WCCA.   He is looking forward to discovering more about the school and the opportunities that are ahead of us.

Jog-a-Thon 2011

Students and teachers pulled on their jogging outfits and school spirit September 15th to raise money for WCCA. Families joined in to cheer and encourage their children to run as many laps around the gym as they could.

After putting their endurance to the test, the tired runners slurped and savored refreshing snow cones. Everyone enjoyed a lunch of hot dogs and hamburgers before the students returned to their classrooms to recuperate (which really means they had fun playing games and watching movies!).

Tessa Bolter (6th), Walker Fitzhugh (6th), Alexander Drewicke (7th), and Amy Jones (8th) hustled for 68 laps; Jonathan Campbell (4th) scampered for 70 laps; Brad Betsekas (7th) scrambled for 71 laps, and Devon Lingle raced to 72 laps.  Congratulations to everyone for running hard, participating, and making the jog-a-thon a great success.

8th Grade Solar Cookers

Hayden Alexander and Daniel Diaz exhibit their solar cooker. The eighth grade science class started constructing their solar cookers shortly after school started.  Hayden Alexander and Daniel Diaz set a new school record: 357 degrees Fahrenheit (the previous record was 341 degrees). Students had a delicious time cooking meat balls, brownies, cookies, hot dogs, sandwiches, etc. in their solar cookers. The class, as a whole, did a fantastic job on this project.
