Welcome to the First Baptist Preschool --

Our school was established by First Baptist Church in 1984 as a ministry to the families and children of the local community and is licensed by the State of California Department of Social Services.  Located on the same campus as WCCA, our program provides students and parents with ease of transition to kindergarten.  Since many of our students go on to attend WCCA all the way through eighth grade, we are able to enjoy a rare sense of continuity and community, as we are given the pleasure of watching our students grow.

Typically, we offer five classes consisting of no more than 10 to 12 students each.  We accept children 2 years 9 months and up and require that all have mastered toilet training.  Our program operates on a five-day-a-week schedule, however, there is the choice of either full- or half-day programs.  

STAFF

Our teachers are qualified in Early Childhood Education and have met or exceeded state requirements.  They endeavor to complement and expand the teachings found in the home by creating a rich environment of learning experiences.  Our teachers seek to teach God's truths in their daily curriculum and to share Christ's love throughout the program.

CURRICULUM

Our goal  is to teach each student primary readiness skills, provide an atmosphere in which the child will experience real joy in learning, cultivate wholesome attitudes, and help build Christian character traits.  This is accomplished through a well-balanced curriculum which seeks to help each child develop socially, emotionally, physically, cognitively and spiritually.

Special days are also planned throughout the year including "Clown Dress Up Day" and participation in WCCA's annual Jog-a-Thon Fundraiser (our proceeds benefit our programs).  We  cap off our year with a field trip to Pixie Land where parents are encouraged to come and play too!

EXTENDED DAY CARE & SUMMER PROGRAM

Regular operating hours are from 8:15 a.m. to 3 p.m., August through May.  Early morning care is available during the school term from 7 a.m. to 8:15 a.m. and may be used by all students.  Afternoon daycare is available from 3 to 6 p.m. and may be used by full-day students only.

An optional summer program (full-day students only) is offered from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. during the months of June and July (with the exception of 7/28-8/8).  This program is play-oriented and non-academic by design. Space is limited.

TUITION

Preschool (2.9 years & up)

1/2 Day (T-Th) - $215/mo. ~ Full Day (M-W-F) -        $385/mo. ~ Full Day (M-F) - $598/mo.

Pre-K (4 & 5 year olds)

1/2 Day (M-F) - $385/mo. ~ Full Day (M-F) - $598/mo.

Half Day: 8:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.

Full Day: 8:30 a.m. - 2:45 p.m.
