Our goal is to teach each student primary readiness skills, provide an atmosphere in which the child will experience real joy in learning, cultivate wholesome attitudes, and help build Christian character traits. This is accomplished through a well-balanced curriculum which seeks to help each child develop socially, emotionally, physically, cognitively and spiritually.
Our program is designed around educational themes such as:
- Community Helpers
- Weather & Seasons
- Five Senses
- Birds & Insects
- Flowers & Plants
- Health & Safety
- Animals
- Family & Friends
- Our Solar System
Creative learning opportunities and sensorial experiences are provided through the use of:
- Manipulative Materials
- Music & Art
- Science Experiences
- Cooking
- Language & Motor Activities
- Block Play
- Number Experiences
- Bible Stories
- Dramatic Play
- Social Studies
Our Pre-K curriculum program helps children develop skills in literacy and math. Both Big Math for Little Kids and Handwriting Without Tears are used concurrently to strengthen these skills and prepare them for the next level.
Special days are also planned throughout the year that incorporates and reinforces concepts taught such as Costume Day to celebrate the letter "C", Dr. Seuss Day, and 100th Day of School. In addition to special days, we have a couple fundraisers planned where families join together to raise money that benefit the school and programs.
We have two field trips during the year. Field trips require a parent, or a designated chaperone, to attend with each student. There is no childcare at the preschool during field trips.
