Welcome to Walnut Creek Christian Academy -- a school that's "educating the whole child" by cultivating the mind, heart, body, and soul for Christ!
The business of biblically based, Christ-centered education is nothing new to us. Since 1949, WCCA has strived to serve the Lord by ministering to the needs of families in the Diablo Valley. Located just 25 miles east of San Francisco, we are a ministry of First Baptist Church of Walnut Creek. Our goal is to educate and challenge the whole child - intellectually, socially, physically, and spiritually.
Over the years, thousands of students have benefited from our preschool through 8th grade programs. Many of our graduates go on to our sister school, Berean Christian High School, and then to colleges or universities such as the University of California at Berkeley, The Master's College, and BIOLA.
Our class sizes are small, ensuring the individual attention needed to help each child succeed and allowing us the opportunity to nurture each child in a safe environment. We are privileged to partner with parents as an extension of the home. Our current enrollment is over 300 students
Parents have the assurance of caring, certified teachers using a curriculum that integrates biblical teaching within all facets of a traditional education. All members of our WCCA staff possess a personal knowledge of Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior and are conscious of the specific call of God to their ministry of Christian teaching.
We have been dually accredited by the Association for Christian Schools International since 1978 and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges since 1990. Each year our students are tested and ranked nationally via the Stanford Achievement Test (SAT) . They consistently meet or exceed the national standards.
