Our school principal, Russell Rohleder, graduated from Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He later obtained a Master of Science degree in Educational Leadership from California Baptist University in Riverside, CA. Russell has over 20 years of experience working with Christian schools. He served as the principal of a northern California school for 11 years before coming to Walnut Creek Christian Academy. He has received an all levels administrator certificate from ACSI.

Our vice principal and junior high department chairperson, Mike Jones, graduated from Bob Jones University in South Carolina with a bachelors degree in elementary education and a master’s degree in administration. He taught for three years outside of Chicago before returning to his home in the Bay Area. He has been at WCCA for more than 20 years and has received ACSI’s Lifetime Professional Elementary Certificate.

Our intermediate department chairperson, Diana Jones, graduated from Bob Jones University in South Carolina with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. Before coming to WCCA , Mrs. Jones taught elsewhere for four years and then was a substitute teacher while helping to raise four boys. She also has received ACSI’s Elementary Teacher’s Certificate.

Our primary department chairperson, Meggie Phillips, went to college in Germany where she graduated with a degree in early childhood and elementary education. She taught in Nuremberg before moving to the United States. She also has received ACSI’s Elementary Teacher’s Certificate and has been teaching at WCCA for 30 years.

Our athletic director, Mike McClellan, received an associate’s degree in criminal justice from the College of Sequoias, an associate’s degree in accounting from Diablo Valley College, a bachelor’s degree in physical education, his California teaching credential from Los Angeles Baptist College, and his master’s degree in physical education from Cal State Hayward. He has been teaching at WCCA for almost 30 years and has received the California Professional Clear Single Subject Teaching Credential and ACSI’s Lifetime Professional Secondary Certificate. |
