Representing third through fifth graders, our Intermediate Department strives to develop an understanding of God as Creator while stressing each student's unique potential and worth as God's child.  There is a strong emphasis on biblical character development with practical lessons to apply these character traits to the student's daily walk.  Prayer, Bible study, fellowship, and chapel services are integrated into our weekly curriculum.  Since this is an important age for developing and establishing friendships, we have designed special activities like our 4th grade and kindergarten "Buddy" program.

Academically, students are prepared and challenged in all disciplines.  Reading comprehension, writing clarity, as well as listening and thinking skills are all stressed.  Building upon the basics, math facts are mastered.  Responsibility and accountability are developed through assignment organizers and homework completion and students learn how to utilize basic learning resources effectively.
